This esteemed institution was established in July 2005, in loving memory of Srimati Laddevi Sharma Pancholi. She was a highly respected educator and the wife of the esteemed Prof. Badri Narayan Pancholi, who was honored with the Rashtrapati Award. Prof. Badri Narayan Pancholi dedicated years of service to Sri Lalbahadur Shastri Kendriya Sanskrit Vidyapith, currently known as L. B. S. Rashtriya Sanskrit University, where he held the esteemed position of professor of Sankhya Darshan. It was Professor Pancholi who played a pivotal role in establishing this Mahavidyalaya.”

Initially, from its establishment until 2010, the Shastri and Acharya courses examinations were conducted under the Rashtriya Sanskrit Sansthan. Subsequently, in 2011, the Mahavidyalaya became affiliated with Sri Jagadguru Raamanandacharya Rajasthan Sanskrit Vishvavidyalaya, Jaipur, offering courses in Vedas (all), Vyakarana, Jyotish, Sahitya, and Darshan. After persistent efforts, the Mahavidyalaya gained recognition from the Central Sanskrit University in August 2019, with examinations being conducted at Sri Jagadguru Ramanadnacharya Sanskrit University, Jaipur. With this recognition came benefits for academic staff, official staff, and librarian, including 95% of their salaries and other perks.
